Our Water

Our water is sourced from Shropshire, a few miles from the North Welsh borders in the Wenlock hills. Why on earth would we want to source water for the London market from so far away?

The landscape around London and its vicinity is predominantly chalk based. Why would this matter? Simply put the chalk creates a hard water which is why Thames Water has 300mg/l of calcium typically – This is terrible for water coolers as it creates scale something we found years ago to our detriment.

Originally our water was sourced in Hertfordshire but we were forced to change while the calcium build up resulted in the solenoid taps on our water coolers blocking and taps dripping. Believe me, when you get 30 or so customer taps leaking per day because of the hard water, you learn a good lesson in making sure you supply only soft water. In addition the hot tanks on our watercoolers require far less descaling than otherwise.

With only 45mg/l, our water is the softest water supplied by any water cooler company that we know off in the London area.
